Formerly known as "Coffee & A Movie", Doc Rough Cuts is a screening series of works-in-progress documentaries.Over the course of the coming year Doc Rough Cuts will present 3 to 4 rough cuts screenings of films to Doc Toronto members and the public. We encourage producers to include a question period and film survey sheet for the audience to follow each screening. A facilitated discussion can also be organized. Past films include Paul Saltzman's "Prom Night in Mississippi" (Sundance Film Festival 2009), Norm Loft's "Raw Milk" (Best Canadian Film at Planet In Focus) and Denis Delestrac, Jeremy Edwardes, Lucie Tremblay and Brice Garnier's "Full Spectrum Dominance". Doc Rough Cuts is accepting entries that fit the following criteria: The films are documentaries The films are in the rough-cut stage or fine cut stage and ready to be screened. The films have specific challenges that the producer and director wish to workshop. We also encourage emerging directors and producers to use the series to get feedback about their films.
