DOC responds to Telefilm's announcemnet of partnership with the NFB on the Theatrical Documentary Program.

The NFB's contribution will restore the Fund to 1.5M but DOC cautions the partnership may come with cavieats for producers.

Katie McKenna appointed interim Chair of the Documentary Organization of Canada

Toronto, September 27th, 2011 - The Documentary Organization of Canada/l'Association des documentaristes du Canada (DOC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Katie McKenna as interim Chair of the organization. Ms. McKenna took over the position on September 1, 2011 from John Christou, of Prospector Films, who stepped down after leading the board of directors for close to 3 years.

Giving Voice: Filmmakers Working With Filmmakers

Winter cycle recipients and  new summer deadline announced!

With the support of documentary, CBC’s digital channel, DOC is launching a second cycle of Giving Voice: Filmmakers Working With Filmmakers, a Masters’ Apprenticeship program aimed at supporting up to 8 apprentices from across the country.
